Miss Congeniality: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (2000 Film)

Because Sandra Bullock is among my favortie actresses, and because Miss Congeniality is my favorite Bullock movie, it was the obvious next step to get the soundtrack. The CD has songs from the movie, including "One in a Million" and "Anywhere USA". I like most of the songs on this CD, and they are all "easy on the ears"- no swearing. I would recommend this CD to just about everyone- especially those people who liked the movie.

I bought the CD after I had seen the film twice so I knew pretty much what I was buying. It is one of the best soundtracks I have purchased all year (and I have purchased alot. I like nearly every song on it. The only songs I do not care for at all are the Groove Armada one and the Baha Men one. It is a popish-light album, so if that is what you are looking for than this is a great CD. I personally think the best song on the album is Miss United States because it cracks me up every time.

I have listened to this CD, and I found it true to the nature of the movie, unlike some other soundtracks available. I would highly recommend this if you found the movie entertaining.

After seing Miss Congeniality 3 times I practically searched all the record stores in Denmark for a copy of the soundtrack, as the music in the movie creates a certain mood for each scene. I'll give you some examples:

1: Swedish Bosson's song "One in a million" gave me goose bumps while watching the contenders dance on stage - and furthermore gave new meaning to being 'one in a million' (I'm of course talking about the beautiful Sandra Bullock!)

2: Los Lobos' interpretaion of Mustang Sally was perfect for the transformation scene where Sandra goes from - well - less beautiful to extremely SEXY! (If you haven't seen it, all I can do is encourage you to do so!)

3: Anywhere USA - doesn't the title say it all? It covers every single state in America - and furthermore it's a fantastic popsong!

One thing disappointed me, though. Because while seing the trailer, I feel like a woman (by Shania Twain) blasted its way out of the speakers, and that song would have been the perfect finish to an almost perfect album. See the movie, then buy the album!

I bought the soundtrack before I saw the movie and loved the cd. I play it over and over and never tire of it. When I finally saw the movie, twice, I still couldn't get enough of this cd. This is one of my favorite cds and I buy a lot of cds. I like all of the songs and it is a great cd to get you going. The Tom Jones remix always gets me going. LOL So I highly recommend it.

Miss Congeniality is a great movie, and the sountrack is great too! Each song totally rocks, and fits very well with the movie. Some of the best songs off the CD are:

*One in a Million ~ It's a pretty cheesy song, I mean, it's from a beauty pageant and all, but it's really fun and bouncy. Good to dance to, and it's got a good tempo.
*Dancing Queen ~ A*Teens do a really good remake of the song, and it also makes you want to dance. This is my favorite track on the CD.
*None of Your Business ~ I love this song! It's really "in your face" and cool! The only bad thing about it is that it gets stuck in your head easily.
*She's A Lady ~ My friends and I always sing along with this song when it comes on during the movie! It's cool and the lyrics are really funky.

This CD is great, it's really fun, and the songs all make the movie sooooooooooooooo much better! I reccommend this CD if you liked the movie, or if you like pop music!

Overall grade: A

I thought this CD was great. I saw the movie before I bought it and I fell in love with One in a Million by Bosson. Anywhere USA and Mustang Sally are also good songs. Buy it now!! =o)

an unfeminine "woman" in a feminine contest? with the fbi involved? this is, hands down, simply the most unique funny movie ever. i gotta admit, i'm a sucker for movies, but this movie tops it all!!! the song "one in a million" is the coolest. when the candidates performed it on stage, it was really beautiful and quite funny. i love all the songs, even miss united states. how bizarre can i get? but the soundtrack is definitely worth it! i listen to it over and over again at home, in school, in the bathroom (really!), everywhere! it's simply the best!!!!

This is my favorite movie so getting the soundtrack was a must, the music choice for this movie was really perfect.

One In A Million is the most hot beat from this album and I love the rest of the songs from this album and I begin to wonder what does it compare to the 2nd Album??? Is it any good than this one?? I havent got a chance to buy the 2nd ablum but I do have 1st and 2nd DVD of Miss Congeniality but 2nd soundtrack is my huge concern because it wont let us be able to listen to it before we buy it. I have read the reviews but it only has 2 people that left comment about it but I know we all dont have the same opinion tho.
