I cannot say enough about this story. The way the author writes his poems, combined with the glorious pictures is wonderful. My two daughters have been so excited about this book, they argue about who will get to read it in bed.

It is a wonderful tale about a nice witch, who is not beautiful outwardly, but on the inside. She makes wonderful pies for the Trick-or-Treaters on Halloween. Her house is the last stop at midnight for some excellent pie and cider.

We highly recommend this book to any "Halloween lovers"...

This book was given to my two-year old son, from his Grandma, for Halloween. It is a little advanced for him right now, but he LOVES the wonderful pictures in it. They are truly fantastic! I point out different things to him and explain what certain things are.

It's really excellent and I know this book will become a Halloween Tradition. After reading it, you feel you've just read something very special. You won't be disappointed!

UPDATE: Son is now 4 yrs old and STILL loves this book more than any other in his library. We read it year-round! This book is a treasure.

This is the best Halloween book I have seen! For the past several years I have read this book to my daughter's class at school and bring along pumpkin pies and spider rings for the kids! The book has a very positive message and it is beautifully illustrated!!!!

My sister bought this book for my kids...within a few years we needed a new one because it had been read so much! All 3 of my children LOVE this book! Even my 12 year old son!

The story starts out with the typical old lady that people say is a witch. Yet the kids can not wait to get to her house at the end of trick or treating for her stupendous pumpkin pie! The story and all the details are very child friendly and hold children's attention through the entire book!

I STRONGLY recommend this book to any family who wants a fun Halloween book to read year after year!

This book can be judged by it's cover! The cute story is enhanced by the charming illustrations! It has sparked a new Holloween tradition for our family! Come on over for some pumpkin pie at midnight. ;)

The book is very cute and was purchased for my sister-in-law who is a kindergarten teacher and collects childrens books. Great illustrations!

This book had my daughter and I salivating for Pumpkin pie! The 'sweet' story of a witch making pumpkin pie for trick or treaters is clever and so well illustrated - you feel like you can smell the pie and feel the emotion and anticipation of getting a slice.

This is the perfect tale to read to young children not fond of scary stories...the perfect Halloween tale!!

This book is adorable and is really nicely illustrated. I love the story and the rhymes are cute and not scary at all for the little ones and the pictures are sweet. I can't comment on my daughter liking it since she's only one year old, but I got her this book for her first Halloween after I briefly thumbed through it at the bookstore. It's even pretty enough to give as a gift. Really cute.

I love this book as much as my little girl. The illustrations are beautiful and really suck you into the story.
I would definately recommend this to any mom out there who is looking for a good Halloween book.
