Marina's voice and music simply cannot be beat within the solo acoustic indie genre. I forget how long ago it was that I first heard her, but she's like an old friend to my ears now, always pleasing, never dull.

Intelligence, razor-sharp humor and a consistently brilliant knack for knowing how to make pop songs FUN - Anya is something special, and her talents are on full display in Miss Halfway. Highly recommended.

This is a great disc. Anya's songs are smart, funny, and impossible to get out of your head. It's like all the pleasure of a decadent dessert or a catchy pop song, but delivered with zero fat or insipid lyrics. Seriously-- buy this album! Tell a friend! SEE HER LIVE!! And if that's not enough incentive (what does it take anyway?) even my little sister, who is a freakin' music genius, is learning how to play all of Anya's songs because Anya is that fabulous!

I like every song on this album. She's quirky, clever and fun, and I think she's got a great voice. Can't wait for her next album.

I saw Anya on BETA Records tv a few months back, and I love this woman and her music! She is such a strong, independant and hip young artist and shes a great role model! On top of that her music is simply genius!!!

I was privileged to catch Anya Marina at the World Cafe in Philadelphia this past summer, and all I can say is wow, what a musician!! She sings, she plays guitar, she's the greatest!!! She will undoubtedly become one of the pioneering female vocalists of the early 20th century,

I first heard Anya Marina on NPR (National Public Radio) a few years ago and when I got the CD I was amazed at the fact that Anya wasn't a big star! The writing is impeccable in her lyrics and the emotion of her voice is felt right through the speakers. Buy the CD and see her live whenever she comes to your city, it's an evening well spent!

Great album. Anya Marina is a great musician and a great poet.I love all tracks. I really like that the full text of all songs is included with the album. I am waiting for a follow up CD.

Miss Halfway is her best album to date. She has an exceptional gift for writing songs, and presenting them in a way that draw you in, and emotionally vest yourself in them in a way few performers do.

This album is on my steady rotation.

See her live if you ever get the chance. Her personality which shines through so effectivley on this album, is even better in person.
