Miss Manners, a.k.a. etiquette goddess/author/wit Judith Martin, uses her common sense and droll sensibility to save Dirk & Samantha's wedding plans from falling victim to their self-absorbed extended families, overspending on idiotic wedding cliches, the zeal to tell other adults how to dress, and all the other perils awaiting starry-eyed betrothed couples. Ms. Martin's dry one-liners are a delight (my fave: "Did I miss the part where you said, 'Oh, how nice'?"), and my hubby and I love her Rod Serling-like way of suddenly appearing in any given scene. Well worth checking out, even if you're not planning a wedding!
