A small, sweet tale with a big, big message. The illustrations are delightful. As a volunteer reader in area schools, I can't wait to entertain the first and second graders with "Miss Mouse's House."

5.0 out of 5 stars Magic of the Best Kind, August 24, 2001
By
Marilyn Moore (Scottsville, VA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Miss Mouse's House (Hardcover)
Miss Mouse's House is a sensitive and endearing story. The magical house that Mr. Fleming has created is filled with nooks and crannies that will enchant readers of all ages. Ms. Storms illustrations are superb. The enchanting detail makes the book extremely appealing...both visually and emotionally. This book works well for young readers and the "read to" ages. The story and the illustrations appear to be deceptively simple, but slowly pull the reader into Miss Mouse's magical home. In this magical place imagination rules! The book imparts a sense of wonder and awe to anyone who opens the pages and their mind to the magic. This is truly a unique work. It would be a wonderful gift for any child that loves stories which exercise the imagination.
