Fun, entertaining, scary and teaches children the consequences for misbehaving. Both me and my wife read these stories when we were little (the first 3, I don't know if there are any others) and my wife likes them so much that she actually owns them for herself. Oh, my daughter likes it too!

When Miss Nelson has trouble keeping order in her class, she calls on a strict substitute name Viola Swamp to whip the class into shape. The children end up being very appreciative of what they had with Miss Nelson, sorely miss her, and rejoice when she ultimately returns. The story is beautifully illustrated, appropriate for readers aged about 7-8 (more or less) and is 32 pages.

I bought all 3 Miss Nelson titles for my four year old grandson for
christmas. He loves them as much as his now 20 year old uncle did at that age. The are funny, well illustrated and clever. We haven't listened to the CD yet, but I'm sure it ill be enjoyed on car trips.

Book and CD were in excellent condition. My child loved listening to the CD while she flipped through the pages...book will be a classic if it is not considered one already...

MISS NELSON IS MISSING is a wonderful read aloud book, so the book and CD are a perfect set. Children never ceased to be amazed as the story unfolds of Miss Nelson and the evil Viola Swamp. The illustrations enhance this great book. I highly recommend it.

I teach 3-6 year old children and this book is a favorite in our classroom. The story is fun and the children love discovering that Miss Nelson is actually Miss Viola Swamp.

It's a great story and the CD is great too (with different "voices").
It's great for the classroom or the independent, new reader.

I love the book. I remember this story from when I was a child. I bought the book for my son's birthday. About a month ago, I saw where he had written on the first page! Annoyed as I was, I decided to replace and to get the CD along with it. I remember hearing a recording of the book when I was in Elementary school and Ms. Viola Swap's voice scared the sugar out of me! I was very dissappointed when I heard the CD. Ms. Swap's voice was not as I remembered it at all. I do better voices than what is on the CD. And my son actually laughs when I do the voices. He was nonchalant when I played the CD. So, I recommend the book but not the CD.
