all in all... the best book,
By A Customer
This review is from: I Miss You, I Miss You! (Hardcover)
I loved this book. There is no other way to describe it. All through it my face was wet with tears. And they actually made see things in a new light. It was moving and described how people should deal with life. You never know when you're going to lose a beloved one. And this book really showed me what life is all about. I think the fact that Peter Pohl actually did that...is a great accomplishment in itself.

A heartbreaking story about life and death,

If you can read this book without crying, you are strong. Even if it's about death, it's a book, that celebrates life.

This is the best book I have ever read,

"I miss you, I miss you" is still, after 7 years, the best book I have ever read, and I frequently read 50 or more books/year. When I had finished reading it the first time, I had to reread it again right away, I was so taken in and very emotionally moved by it. I have read many books by Peter Pohl, and although all his books are very good, this is by far his best one.

A must,

Kinna Gieth and Peter Pohl have created a masterpiece together. A book that describes feelings without turning them into kitsch, and that -- without ever being moralizing -- traces a young girl's / family's individual ways to deal with a tragic loss. To say that this book is intended for young adults is in my opinion not quite sufficient. It should be read by everyone who loves somebody else.

Peter Pohl is Swedish and so am I, so when I read it it was in his mother language. Which I think makes it much better, since it's not translated at all. The book really touched me, it's very sad, but true. The book is about the C/O writer...

wow, well, euhm, I don't know what to say, but I know that Peter Pohl is the best! ... you know that this isn't his best book, but I loved it anyway.... What I love about his books, is that they go straith to your heart, and you will never forget them. Mostly there's a really sad end, and I have cried more than once... So I suggest you buy this book or go to a library, but anyway, you MUST read his other books!!

This review is from: I Miss You, I Miss You! (Hardcover)
I didn't like this book much at all but I understand others might. The 2 authors have used a different style of writing without quotations, but it didn't work for me.Very boring. In short it is about a girl whose identical twin sister is killed. And how she copes..or tries to cope...with that reality. |
