Amazing CD--perfect for falling asleep to.,

I first fell in love with this music in 7th or 8th grade! I wore out a copied cassette tape of this album before finally searching for a longer-lasting CD. I heard of the composer only because his hometown (formerly Germany, now Poland) is where my father is from. It is a shame that Nucius is not more well-known. The style of the choral music on this particular album resembles a mixture of the music of Renaissance composers Josquin DesPrez and Palestrina. While each composition is beautiful, the whole set can seem to run together, making it ideal for relaxing background music or for falling asleep. A great selection for choral music enthusiasts and those interested in Renaissance music in general.

An ethereal performance of absolutely beautiful polyphonic sacred choral music from this little-known East Prussian composer. It's incredibly sad that most of his work has been lost.
