The MisShapes are Greg Krelenstein (25), Leigh Lezark (21), and Geordon Nicol (21), the promoters and DJs behind an eponymous Saturday night party as well as fashion and musicworld staples in their own right. The MisShapes phenomenon began in February 2004 when the club night, which many now consider the best in hipster Manhattan, opened its doors for the first time. Its a teenage rocknroll dance party for kids in their twenties, and its been going strong ever since, capturing a raucous, raw spirit that is the ruling aesthetic for todays creative types. The trio has been heralded in publications ranging from People to Paper, Nylon to The New York Times. Blender had them on their Hot 100 list and Leigh Lezark was one of New York magazines "Most Influential New Yorkers" in 2006 as well as one of Spin magazines "Top 25 Under 25."

The kids at the party are cute. This book is such a neat documentation of New York nightlife and fashion. The layout is amazing. All of the photograpic contributions really mesh well with the portraits. Perfect size to hang onto as a reference or to sit on the coffee table. Good mix of celebrities with normal people, had to look a few times to find some people. Kudos.. very clean and sophisticated, well worth purchasing, and perfect for any age!
If you were aware of the whole misshapes movement that happened in new york you're gonna love this book filled with people trying to be as flamboyant as they could and celebrities like madonna or beth ditto hiting the scene
