Book Description

2009
The Missing Diagnosis II, written by Dr. C.O. Truss, is the sequel to his original book, The Missing Diagnosis, published in 1983. The Missing Diagnosis II presents Dr. Truss' observations over the last 25 years on the diagnosis and treatment of chronic yeast infections. Symptoms of chronic yeast illness are mistakenly attributed to stress, including fatigue, muscle and joint aches, depression, menstrual and libido problems, partial loss of short-term memory and concentration, and an intolerance to chemical odors (e.g. perfumes). The diet used by Dr. Truss, both for diagnosis and treatment, is published here for the first time. Diet is a highly important element in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic illness related to the overgrowth of the fungus, Candida albicans, as described in the Missing Diagnosis II. This book was written especially for the patient.

5.0 out of 5 stars A helpful book for those with candida yeast problems, December 29, 2009
This review is from: The Missing Diagnosis II (Paperback)
I have read large portions of this book, and it is clear that Dr. Truss speaks as an experienced doctor and medical professional. The writing is clear, and his research is compelling.

His suggestions for the patient about when to suspect candida albicans, as well has his approach to the diagnosis of Superficial Candidiasis Syndrome (SCS) are very clear. Also, Dr. Truss outlines his treatment of SCS, including his recommended diet and suggested recipes. The diet alone is worth the price of the book!

Those in the medical profession will find interesting his discussion of food allergies, autoimmune diseases, pregnancy, end-organ responsiveness, and autism.

If you've never heard of Dr. Truss or his groundbreaking medical work with regard to yeast and its effects on human illness--it is best to get it right from the source. This book is the best place to start. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book connects the dots, December 30, 2009

This review is from: The Missing Diagnosis II (Paperback)
Seemingly unconnected symptoms may be a sign of systemic yeast problems. Prevalent use of antibiotics has contributed to chronic candidiasis--the "missing diagnosis" of the book's title. I have several friends and acquaintances who were treated by Dr. Truss, and the treatment plan prescribed by this book (based on a low-yeast diet) turned their health around.

5.0 out of 5 stars Written for the Patient, August 28, 2009
This review is from: The Missing Diagnosis II (Paperback)
You can tell by reading this book that Dr. Truss wrote it with the patient in mind. The terminology is easy to understand even for non-medical people.
