About the Author

Rita Lee Chapman was born in the UK and migrated to Australia in her early twenties. It was only when she retired to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland that she wrote her first novel “Missing in Egypt”. “This fulfils a lifelong ambition for me. In primary school I wrote long stories but since then my writing had been restricted to business correspondence, press releases and letters home to my family! Having read repeatedly that you should write about things of which you have personal knowledge, I drew on my own time in Canberra working for a Federal MP and my travels to Egypt for this story.”

4.0 out of 5 stars REALLY LIKED October 31, 2012

I really enjoyed this novel(read it on my Kindle) a good mixture of romance adventure and suspense.Rita has a good "take" on Canberra and Egypt life. Not too many characters saving us going back and forth to remember who they are. I think it is a great novel for a "first" one Look forward to the next one Good Luck Rita Chapman

Not usually my sort of thing but I really enjoyed this. Chapman has a nice elegant style that makes the book a real page turner. My daughter really loved it.
