While I have known Bill Parks off and on for a number of years, and knew he had a deep connection to the Church, I did not appeciate his interest and access to the meaning of its traditions, world history, and interactions of the mysticism of those two. I found his Franciscan Trilogy a wonderful blend of those features into a delightfully human, faithful, and intriguing set of mysteries that I was saddened to finish. Thankfully, I can reread them!
