A great factual account of a great patriot. Google Allen West's utubes. Read the book. This guy is White House material. Then research Herman Cain. Herman Cain could cover our economy and Allen West knows our enemies and how to deal with them. However, they will scare folks in both parties as they are honest and moral. I'm a southwest Texas white boy that learned early how to judge an individual by attributes - not religion or color.

A Missing Link in Leadership: The Trial of LTC Allen West

Dr. Berry demostrates that leadership theory to date has overlooked an important factor: the affects of is emotion. He demostrates that emotions precede actions by using the trail of LTC Allen West as the backdrop. He shows that fear, love, and adaptation may drive individual or group actions that may not be in alignment with organizational policies. We are made to feel and identify with LTC Allen West experience in a crisis. We are left to wonder if we would have acted in a similar way. Important to understanding the gap between individual and group actions and the organization's policies.

This book reminded me of the Days of Yesteryear. So I pulled out my Lone Ranger Ring and the card that came with it. On one side of the card it says: "The bearer of this card believes in: Truth, Decency, Fairplay,Loyalty, Courage, Morality, and in God, Country, and Fellow Man. The owner of this ring is an Honorary Member of the Lone Ranger Club." And on the other side of the card it says "that this symbolic ring will give inspiration to the next Lone Ranger whose spirit is alive in the dreams of a child."

Dr. Richard Berry updated the qualifications mentioned above. A MISSING LINK IN LEADERSHIP describes the qualifications of the new, present day, American Hero. The first qualification is a four letter word beginning with "L". And that word is amazing!

Obviously written to support the candidacy of the Notorious Allen West, this book is a distortion and hagiography of West's failurtes in leadership as a front-line commander in Iraq.

Look elsewhere for the truth, this book is political propaganda
