good insider report,
By Preppy Jock (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Missing the Piano (Paperback)
He used the word "kid" a lot. It seems that it is the trend these days for teeangers to call other teenagers kids. It gets a little annoying after you start reading it.I think that he did a good job describing the actual life in a military school. I used to think that it would be cool to live in a military school. His book has changed my mind. I don't think that the book title fits with the actual content very well. And there is really no climax in this book. It seems that he may actually write part II.

A Great Book!,

I loved this book. It was fast-paced, and very funny. The main charcter was believable, and you sympathized with him throughout the novel as he struggled to make the best of a bad situation.

This book showcases a brilliant new author who we will be hearing much more from in the future. I found the story to be compelling and believable, told with both grit and humor. Kudos for Adam Rapp!

A sensitive, perceptive and funny book about a boy's adolese,

A children's book nowadays seems to be so general (e.g., multicultural only, girls only, boys only, etc.) that quality seems often to get left out of the equation. In this book, that is not the case. It's the story of a confused young man with some family difficulties (no Ricki story here, however). He confronts a realistic, difficult challenge, and must learn to incorporate the new pressures and information that, like it or not, are now a part of his life. The book is sophisticated in its handling, and the characterization of Mike Tegroff will ring true to anyone who's had an adolesence

MUST READ,

This review is from: Missing the Piano (Paperback)
Ok i am a student. I read this book and i thought it was great. Thier was 1 problem that is why I didn`t give it 5 stars. the ending was a surprize to me. I think that he should have ethier Made a sequel to the book or he should have made the book longer. But other than that the book was great the suspense was most thrilling. Even though it was not a horror book it was still full of suspence. But I think that if you are looking for a clif hanger book well here is one. BROVO for Adam Rapp. so from a STUDENT IN A HIGH SCHOOL I say this is a must read.
