simply amazing,

Meg Allison has such a soothing voice and each of her songs comforts me in its own special way. Not only does she harmonize beautifully and hit every note with such ease and perfection, her music is very real. If you listen to her lyrics, which I believe she wrote most of all herself, you will understand what I am talking about. Her music moves me and I often turn to it when I am stressed out and need to escape for a while. I highly reccommend this cd to anyone and everyone.

Give A Kid A Break -- She Sounds Like She Deserves it.,

Someone in Meg's camp earned their money. Maybe it was a slow news day, but somehow her press release announcing an up-coming gig at the Bitter End (a hallowed venue in the Village) made it onto Yahoo's news page. Impressed with the enterprising effort, I followed a couple of links and found my way to a sample of Meg's work. On the strength of one track -- "Chicago" -- I am pulling for young Meg (23, I think she is) to make it. I haven't listened to more of her work yet, but if the rest of it is up to the level of the grit and buoyancy found on this track, Meg deserves to make a good-sized dent -- at the very least she deserves a fair-hearing. The PR is that she waits on tables to make ends meet, so plunk down ten bucks for this CD so this struggling up-and-comer can live the life of the artist that she apparently is. This young lady appears to have the goods -- she's the real deal to my ears!

I've really enjoyed this CD. Not as country in sound as I expected after seeing her on Nashville Star, but really a great listen. Reminds me at times of early Linda Ronstadt style

I saw Meg on Nashville Star this past season...and she was such a breath of fresh country air. Not a cookie cutter of what Nashville has been putting out. SHe has the goods. Kinda different, almost a little Alt. country, but worth a listen. I love the whole CD.

I like this CD. I bought it based on Meg's appearance on Nashville Star.
What a shame that she didn't make it to the songwriters round. She would have come out singing "Chicago" and knocked it out of the park. She is genuine, sensitive and enduring. With a little time and more experience, I think she will go farther. My favorite songs are , Chicago, Could it be & Kiss me tonight. I hope someone saw her on Nashville Star and recognized her talent and will give her a good break, ..Good Luck Meg!

Meg Allison deserves far more recognition that what she has received. The songs are incredible, and Allison's delivery and expression are terrific.
Take a chance...spend the few dollars and get a copy of this pearl while you can. Highly-recommended, without reservation.

Meg Allison's recent performances were so strong that I was humming the tunes to her unique arrangements. I stop to listen to this CD more carefully than other artists. Her last four songs on the CD and the first track are now in constant digital rotation on my desktop - "now i know, kiss me tonight, would you my love, ten states away," and "Chicago." I hope another album comes soon and that she keeps country, folk and blues in her sound. This is my first posting as a Meg Allison fan.
