Don't buy if you have small children,

This is a nice table. The only problems I've had after 6 months is that the trim is coming off in pieces.
My main concern is that the corners & ALL edges on this table are SUPER sharp. {More blunt than usual} If you have a toddler watch them closely around this table. My Grandson fell and it was a trip to the ER for 4 stitches to his forehead. I know this was not the fault of the table. It is a sturdy piece of furniture. But, buy something with rounded corners if you have little ones.

I agree with the other review. Though I feel asleep on the couch while watching seinfeld and woke up in the middle of the night. Gouged myself on the table... yes gouged. Though I have stood on this table before and I am 6'4"(ten foot ceiling) and weigh 280 lbs. Very strong. Mine is not falling apart. Almost did the same night I was gouged. Temper... :) No kids. Or nightvision. Buy.
4 stars because it is sturdy... Company cannot account for stupidity or young ones. PS Target shipping rates are terrible for small items. Understandable for large items.

Love the table. Arrived in excellant condition and I put together in 1 hour. I have had a lot of experience in assembly of this type of DIY furniture though. The hardware kit comes with 1 extra piece of key hardware just in case. Nice touch!

I read the reviews and thought this would be perfect. I have the file cabinet/end table and though it didn't fit together well, I thought it was just a fluke. But I put the coffee table together today and not only was it difficult to get everything to go together, but one of the screw parts that fastens one of the cams was defective, the bottom shelf is cracked all the way to the other side, the drawer has 3 dings on the inside of it, and the top of the table was dented on the side. The wood surrounding the screw hole on the drawer came apart while I was screwing the drawer piece on, and now I have to have a friend screw it in with his electric drill and hope it stays together. And when the cheap layer of varnish is scraped at all, as it is on the dings and crack, it's obvious because the color of the wood underneath is so much lighter.
I guess this is what I get for spending $100 on a piece of furniture. But I've put together a bunk bed and a desk myself and have never seen problems like this. And yet, it's really quite pretty if you don't look very closely at it. Get it if you can't afford anything better, but keep your expectations low.

Received the coffee table and end table last night, had them both assembled within an hour. Very easy, good tolerances (good fit), everything aligned perfectly. Very sturdy when assembled, good looking, nice style. Liked it so much we just ordered another one for the downstairs playroom. Excellent value.

I've only had this table a few months and all around the edges of the top piece it is lifting, chipped, and the particle board is not holding up well. The top finish is wearing away a bit too. Other than that it is a cute table. It was easy to put together. If you won't really use this table, it's a cheap option- but if it actually will be a central part of your living room- look for something else.

Ordered this coffee table because of the good reviews I've read here. It arrived with a damaged top corner and a broken leg even though the packing box is in good condition. The table is not made of solid wood, both table top and bottom shelf are made of particle board (I can see it clearly from the damaged corner), I think it does not worth more than $50, would not order it had I known. But it's too much hassel to return it; called the number listed on the installation manual and wait for the replacement parts and got those 4 days later; I think that's a good service from Target. Comparing with many other furniture that I have put together, this one does not have very good fit accuracy among different parts. But it's an OK coffee table over all.
