When the bed falls apart, you can't really fix it. You will need to buy screws rather than the little nails that hold this together.

No one here is fat, we rarely used this, and a skinny person broke it. The pegs broke off. It is firewood now.

Very poor quality.

I've never liked futons.I recentley bought a house,(older house) with adittion (room) above garage with full bath.I thought it would make a nice
entertainment room.Because the door is verry narrow i couldn't get a regular couch through it. As much as i hated the idea of buying a futon,
i started looking for one.The futon frames that are metal,or part wood and metal are cheaply made. There put together at the weakest point, in the midle and are held in placer with a couple of screws.
The Mission futon Frame is verry well made and verry solid. I was suprised, and so was my mom,she thought it was going to be cheap thin wood,it's not.I'm thinking about buying another one for the gazeboe in the back yard.
It took an hour to put together, comes unfinished,i'm painting mine black lacquer. And also bought The Premier Futon Mattress to go with it and some futon super grippers to keep the matress from sliding, and i recieved it one weak after purchase date.

I am rather late giving this review...owned this frame for two years. I like furniture that is kid proof and this is. At a quick glance I noticed that another reviewer said something about "nails?" and the frame falling apart. That isn't even possible there are no nails in the frame. I don't see how it could possibly fall apart. The hardware is heavy duty stuff and the wood is "real" not wood fibers held together with glue. After two years of use (trampolining...jungle gyming...sometimes even just sitting or sleeping) I have still not had to tighten any of the fasteners even though I have checked them as per the instructions. I assembled it by myself but it would be easier to have some help...this is a massive piece of furniture. From my experience this frame is going to be in use much longer than others for a small fraction of the cost of the fancier looking ones. I owned one of the more expensive ones...when it broke this was the frame i replaced it with.

I ordered this futon for an extra place to sit in the nursery. The instructions were not the best but all of the parts were in the packaging and we just figured it out from there. This is definitely a two person job. The sturdy wood is very heavy duty. The reason it didn't get five stars is because I had to re-drill two of the holes, they did not line up. Once the holes were redrilled, putting the futon together was a snap. My son slept on it and it didn't even creek. I am impressed with this product.
