Mission Futon Frame - w/ 9inch Premium Futon Mattress - Full Size

I just finished putting this piece together after three hours of blood, sweat and splinters. I bought it here on Amazon to serve as my bed/couch/everything for my new studio apartment. The finished product is impressive and comparable to others that look the same at twice the price.

Some points of interest:

The 9" full mattress is indeed quite thick, but not quite as plush and comfy as I had expected. However, it does get the job done by providing firm support over the wood futon frame.

Disappointingly, the slat that tops off the back section of the frame was hole-drilled improperly. To get around that I bored a hole by hand, as the alternative was to leave out the corresponding bolt and have the frame lean back to one side. A minor manufacturing error, but irritating nonetheless.

Two lounge positions add to the comfort level, and switching between them is simple enough.

In all, aside from the mattress being white, what you see in the picture is what you get with the Mission Futon Frame w/9" Mattress Full. I would recommend it for anyone shopping for a futon & mattress on a budget.

I recieved my futon on time, but the wood pieces had some gouges in them, just some minor scratches that are not too noticeable, and a bolt was missing. The directions to put it together are not very good. The pieces come labeled on seran wrap and you have to keep them separated and not mix them up. There is no room for error, every piece has to fit together perfect and there is a lot of tightening and pulling to get the holes lined up. Then they stamp the pieces with pink and if you clear coat it you can see the pink stamp. Very nice when it is all put together, but it is hard to find a cover for a nine inch mattress unless you look forever and want to pay an arm and a leg. All together the order was about 380 bucks, 70 bucks for shipping. The packages are very heavy. It took about 3 hours to get it together.

This futon is longer than other futons which if you a bit taller makes all the difference. Not only that but the pine wood is very durable and has stood up to abuse for over two years now. The only flaw is their decorative sides that eventually fall off, you don't need them but you'd think they would glue them in place better.

This was an excellent piece to purchase. I love it. However, it is shown with matching decorative pillows that do not come with the product. At least mine did not. Other than that I would recommend the product highly.
