After a couple of bad experiences with furniture orders, we were reluctant to try again, but this is a great product. It was shipped very quickly, arrived in perfect condition, with all the parts intact, and assembly was quick and easy. Highly recommend the product and the company.

This is a great Futon. I've had it for 6 months already and it's still in great condition with no sign of wear and tear. The mattress is pretty comfortable too. I recomend this futon a lot!

The Room Doctor Futon came on time and ahead of schedule but the Back Panel Pieces were deficient and made the assembly of the product difficult. The Back Slats of the Back Panel were shorter than needed for the structure. All I can do now is sit on the futon. I am currently awaiting a response from a customer service representative regarding this matter.

It arrived in a timely manner--all the way from PA to WA--and was in good condition; boxes weren't shredded or dented. It's made of real wood and still has sawdust coming off, so be ready with a vacuum, but it smells nice and is very sturdy.

Assembling it took a couple hours by myself, but I was also distracted by the TV, so it could be done faster probably. Instructions weren't too hard to follow, though they could use some clarification and better pictures. I ended up putting the bottom frame upside down, and chipped away at another wood panel when I tried to adjust it, which is a testament to its stability since it's just fine. That was my fault mostly, but it's smart to note that if it feels too difficult to match the back and seat panels together, you're doing it wrong. It adjusts to the other seating positions with more ease than I would have thought, though it's still not as easy as they imply in the instructions.

Mattress is very nice; big and fluffy. I find it very easy to stretch out on and doze...even when I don't want to do that.

All in all, it's a great value for what you get. I'd even say you get a bit more than expected.

It was easy to put together. I slept comfortably on it, too! It is a great price, for a sturdy frame, firm mattress, and for delivery. I would recommend buying this for anyone!

Overall I was impressed with this futon. Need 2 people to put it together. It would never work with just one. The back part was very frustrating. If you put it together the right way it is very sturdy and with the mattress very heavy. Be sure to put it together in the room you want it in because you won't be able to drag it. The mattress was a disappointment. It is too hard. Good buy for the money.

This futon was kind of a disappointment. The mattress that it is shown with DOES not come with it. I liked the pattern of the mattress, which was probably one of the biggest selling points for me. Instead it came with this really crappy solid blue mattress (no pillows as well). The overall design of the frame is "ok" but the construction is a bit of a worry for me. You don't actually screw in all of the supports in the back AND bottom of the frame, you screw in two of the four boards in each section and the other two fit in groves. In essence they reduced the quality of the frame because they wanted to save the 20 cents per unit on the additional eight screws it would have cost them to make sure that the supports don't shift in their slots. The wood in general was poorly sanded in the first place, and this means that you're going to want to buy some sandpaper before this thing gets delivered. All in all this futon is NOT worth the $300 they ask for. If it came with at least a cover and the pillows that it is shown with, perhaps but until then I would suggest that you look someplace else for a futon.

I was looking for a couch that would go with my existing furniture but, I had trouble finding something that would go well with my dark wooden chairs. After searching several online furniture stores, and a few brick and mortar places I realized I was not going to find what I was looking for. I bought this and stained it the color I wanted, and picked up a nice futon cover at Wal-Mart.

The only drawback was the labour involved in assembling it, but that wasn't unexpected for this type of item. It took about a week, figuring staining, finishing, and drying times.
