5.0 out of 5 stars An awesome and interesting read...
After reading Myers' first book Exit Here. I wasn't sure what to expect. Exit Here was his first novel, so I didn't know if he would go a completeley different direction, or stick to what worked for him the first time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a try.
I found Myers' Exit Here to be entertaining from the moment I started it, so I was eager to read The Mission. The style, storyline and characters were great. I would only fault Kaden's somewhat arrogant attitude that makes him look like a complete moron at times. This was frustrating and pretty much the only reason I didn't give this a higher rating. Otherwise, an...

After reading Myers' first book Exit Here. I wasn't sure what to expect. Exit Here was his first novel, so I didn't know if he would go a completeley different direction, or stick to what worked for him the first time.

After finishing The Mission there was a certain reminder that it was the same author, but I actually enjoyed the way he wrote this book even more than his first. The most enjoyable part about the book was getting Kaden's perspective on the people of San Francisco and the city itself as he treaded water trying to make it through a week with his cousin. Not only does his cousin bring an interesting personality to the book, so does his cousin's girlfriend Caralie, and everyone from "The Whip Pad"

Myers' maintains his passion for describing his surroundings, people, and music; and you definitely get a feel from the author that he is also familiar with San Francisco and the different cultures that it presents.

There is no question that the book is well worth the $9.99.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read, can't put the book down, January 15, 2012
This review is from: The Mission (Paperback)
I have stated before I am not a big reader but I cannot Put his books down. The way he describes a scene or character quickly but yet so precisely I feel by the end of the story I am in side the story feeling what they feel and seeing what they see. If you like his others this is just as good

5.0 out of 5 stars Crazy Good, December 31, 2010
This review is from: The Mission (Paperback)
I read Meyers first book Exit Here as soon as it came to the shelves and I was instantly hooked. The graphic, deep, intoxicating style in which he writes is addicting and powerful. The Mission is no different. I was enthralled from page one and kept reading until the last page--no breaks.
I recommend Jason Meyers books to anyone who is in for a roller coaster of a book. Expect a few twists and crazy points, but all in all, a book that will leave you craving more.
