Grade 4-6-Eleven-year-old Max Remy-scruffy, klutzy, and annoyed at her life-again finds herself the unlikely savior of the world in this third volume in the series. After (just barely) passing her first sessions of Spy Force training, she and her friend Linden, on whom she has an ill-concealed crush, are sent on what Max hopes will be an important mission. However, they turn out to be waiting tables at a grand awards banquet for the world's good-guy spy teams. When her boss discovers that Max has accidentally carried a fake security badge onto the secret island where the ceremony is being held, the possibility arises that the dastardly Mr. Blue has found a way to destroy all of the spies at once by bringing a sleeping volcano to life. The story, in which every plot turn threatens the entire world, would seem very much at home in a Saturday-morning cartoon, as would most of the characters. Fun mystery,

I don't always like how braty Max is but since it is hard to blame her under her cirumstances so you can ignore it. She also gets better as the books progress. These myseters are suspenseful and creative. Not too scary so good for tweens.
