Book Description

March 21, 2008
Five years ago, "Mission-shaped Church" presented a challenge to church leaders. Now "Mission-Shaped Questions" helps them take their thinking to a deeper level. Drawn from a range of Anglican and Methodist backgrounds, the highly-respected contributors take an incisive look at church and its future. This title raises questions such as 'What is the essence of the church'? and 'Can fresh expressions of church make a difference'? These contributions are an essential read for anyone committed to the future of church and mission.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"The Mission-shaped Series is a God-send, literally. Every congregation on both sides of the Atlantic, be they Anglican or Episcopalian, liturgical or evangelical, should delve into these books immediately and thoughtfully and, above all else, prayerfully." --Phyllis Tickle, author of The Great Emergence: How Christianity Is Changing and Why

"If we are to grow and mature as a mixed economy Church, there are hard questions to be asked and answered. We need first-class thinking to back up and support all that is happening at the local level. I hope this collection will get the attention it richly deserves." --Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
