great solid oak unfinished end table,

The materials (read oak) were of a very high quality and perfectly sized (at connecting points pieces matched perfectly). The assembly was fairly easy, I did some initial clean-up and sanding before I started. Once stained/sealed the table looked great.

This kit is great for someone who has a few basic power tools (drill, sander), clamps, and wood glue - and familiarity with sanding and finishing wood furniture.
It's not something you put together with just a screwdriver. You have to know how to drill, glue, clamp, sand, etc. But it doesn't require advanced woodworking skills, either. Complete novices should buy already-assembled and sanded (but still unfinished) furniture, and try their hand at that first. For me this was a great way to save money and get a much-needed little table out of it. |
