Similar And Almost The Same, June 11, 2009
This review is from: Missionary No More: Purple Panties 2 (Paperback)
MISSIONARY NO MORE is a collection of short stories geared towards the lesbian community. The stories vary in style and presentation. The stories within this compilation are graphic, some stories deal with fetishes and there is even a science fiction erotic tale.
The most memorable story to me is "Caged", which details the rise and fall of a young woman whose looks made prison a living nightmare and left her facially disfigured. Life for the young woman didn't get better behind bars until she allowed herself to be used sexually by the other inmates.
MISSIONARY NO MORE, as with the previous Purple Panties anthology, has to be read with an open mind. Even with my open mind, I was not as enthralled with many of the stories and at times, the stories were so similar they were unexciting. Although the writing wasn't bad, some of the stories were a bit too explicit for my taste and this collection lacked the sensuality of the original anthology.

LET DOWN!, March 7, 2009
This review is from: Missionary No More: Purple Panties 2 (Paperback)
Lesbian Erotica is NOT an accurate description of this anthology.....
The first story wound up going into a graphic depiction of fisting. It wasn't my cup of tea, but hey..to each her own, right? I continued reading hoping to find more tantalizing story. To my dismay though, the next story was the tale of a lesbian in love with a girl who's scared to come out of the closet about the love affair...and later marries a man. In the end, the lesbian goes back to her now married closet queen with the stipulation of sexin up her husband in a less than steamy threesome.
The next story was an unorganized tale of a "lesbian" in prison who yearned for a man's touch as she reminisced on her long lost good looks, freedom and love affair with a confused bisexual.
As much as I wanted to put the book down, I ventured to read past my disappointment. Still, the fourth story mirrored the second in bisexual sex and depictions of filatio and the star "lesbian" all too willing to have sex with her secret lover's man.
This should be called Erotica for Bisexuals or the Bicurious... not for lesbians. Being a woman who loves women... ONLY women... I definitely didn't find anything arousing about reading about women who long for or enjoy sexual male encounters (to put it politely).
WTF!? I own Purple Panties. When I read it, I saw past the amateur author errors -also found in Missionary No More- and loved what the book set out to accomplish. So, when my girlfriend presented me with the sequel... I was originally thrilled. Then I started reading it...and already going into the 5th story, it's such a let down...
I could understand one or two stories with a guest appearances of the penis, but damn... the book opened up with fisting and three men loving tales. What a waste... I expected so much more.

I loved this book. It will have your heart racing at a thousand bits per second, and it's not a book written for lesbians but it's also for curious woman like me. I recomend it. It will teach you a lot.
