The nine studies in this guide provide an overarching view of the subject of the heart and priorities of God, from Genesis to Revelation. Practical questions that stimulate discussion. We used it as a team book for a 9-day mission trip; probably the best resource I've used for this purpose in 20 years. I recommend it highly!

Once again, Paul Borthwick provides us with a solid piece introducing us to God's heart from the scriptures. I believe all will enjoy this fresh study using a whole new set of texts from which to understand God's work in the world.

This book does an excellent job of taking the concept of missions out of the box of a few New Testament passages and showing that God's care for the world is a theme throughout Scripture. From passages such as Genesis 3, Psalm 96, Jonah, Philippians, to Revelation, the studies expand the reader's view of God and His plan. There are good questions from the Bible reading and then challenges to connect with our own lives. An additional passage is added for more depth.

I was lent this book by a church friend and decided we needed to get this presented at our church. I am teaching a Sunday School class using it, but it would also work well as a personal devotion or small group study.

I heartily recommend it.
