5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the visitor, May 12, 2009
This review is from: Missouri Birds: An Introduction to Familiar Species (Pocket Naturalist) (Paperback)
Invaluable for quick identification of wild birds. For a Californian camping east of the Rockies for the first time, this quide proves well organized, indestructable and compact. It's not intended to be the full field guide, but makes for lighter packing and quicker identification on a hike or chance spotting. Lamination is tough, cleanable and waterproof.
Great companion to the more complete field-guide, and a pair of binoculars.
