5.0 out of 5 stars Great little Missouri bird guide for the price!, January 2, 2005
By
Birdbrain (St. Charles County, MO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Missouri Birds: An Introduction to Familiar Species (State Nature Guides) (Pamphlet)
This really is a great little guide to the most commonly seen birds in Missouri. It is a fold out laminated guide that can be tucked into your binocular case and taken out and about as you go looking for birds. My kids enjoy using it to identify birds as well. It even has a guide on the back of Birding Hotspots in Missouri.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, July 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Missouri Birds: An Introduction to Familiar Species (State Nature Guides) (Pamphlet)
This is the kind of book I was looking for. It's categorized by color but will also show the male/female as well on the same page. It has Some information on each bird and will be great for identifying different species. The only negative I have to say is that it's a bit small. I got this as a gift for my dad and i think he would like to have a little larger font. But the advantage of a field guide type book is its easier to carry around. I'll have to say I was pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone looking to do a little bird watching. Shipped quickly too!
