This review is from: Missouri Genealogical Gleanings 1840 and Beyond, Volume 2 (Paperback)
I purchased volumes two and three of this book because I read on another book seller's site that they contained genealogical records for several Missouri counties, including Franklin County. I received the books and was disappointed to find that there were less than a half dozen record groupings for Franklin County in each volume. A listing in one of the books was Franklin County Bar Association members for a particular year, and there was only one person listed! The author is doing herself and her readers a great disservice by arbitarily jumping from location to location in the state of Missouri, and not doing an indepth study of records in a particular locale. I've found that my money has been much better spent purchasing county specific resources from genealogical societies in the location I'm researching. I sent these books back for a refund! Don't waste your time or money.
