I am a big fan of Ms. Dealmeida's, and I thoroughly enjoyed her first solo release, Classic Discoveries For Oboe, a few years back. When I heard that Cindy was planning to release a new CD, I was thrilled but I wondered if I would be a little biased because of my love for her first CD. I was pleasantly surprised with her second effort. This labor of love took, I believe, 1 and 1/2 years to complete, and it has been well worth the wait. If you are looking for a CD of oboe works that simply flows, this is the one. Cindy's command of this difficult instrument (I am an amateur player) is flawless. Her sound is so smooth that the music just sweeps you away. She is truly one of today's masters of the oboe. This CD also shows off Cindy's skills with the English Horn as well. A real treat and worth every penny.

As I listen to this CD, I begin to wonder what Ms. Dealmeida will tackle for her next collection...

See her perform live with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and you will be blown away!
