Young but talented,

For the times, this album should have done more than it did. I blame their marketing. I was 14 and LOVED Mista, but then they just disappered. I'm so happy for Bobby that he's getting another "chance". When I heard his "Slow Down" song, I had to look him up on the net. I saw his picture and I was like "OMG that's the Mista boy!" LOL. I LOVED Blackberry Molasses and Lady. I still have the video tape of their video when it used to air on BET. Man.. memories..10 years have floated by.

Man, I loved Mista. I had their tape, and had their Word Up magazine pictures on my wall. Its too bad that they did not blow up like they did, because their album was good 9 years ago (I think its been that long). Anyways, thank Bobby V. for bringing new royalties to the group Mista. Oh, and listen to "Lady."

I was first exposed to MISTA back in "96".I heard them on the radio in New York that summer and fell in LOVE. I heard them sing "BLACKBERRY MOLASSES" acapella. I pressedrecord on that radio and to this day I still enjoy thier beutiful four partharmony. I spent all summer looking for that album and when I finaly found it I listen to it everyday for like ayear. I listen to it during the bad times and the good. Iunderstand that MISTA will have a sophmore album out. I KNOW that it will be as good as the first if not better andI will be waiting. MISTA your music has touched me. I am in aww of the message that U sent and the fact that the first time out u were not completly commercial speaks very highly of u. I am a fan for life.

a little depth for the youth,

i loved MISTA when they originally debuted when I was in Jr. High. My favorite was Bobby. When I heard "Slow Down," and saw the video, my first inclination was, "was this the Bobby who showed promise from MISTA?" It was! Just as nice as his voice is displayed now, so too is the group. It is too bad they don't come back with a single now, but this CD has great cuts. From "Lady," to "I Think that I should Be." Most of the songs are ballads, but they aren't too played out in 2005. I own 2 copies of the CD...not by choice, but still I won't give one of them away. I also like the song "Tears, Scars & Lies," a very slow ballad. what I appreciate most about MISTA is their depth at such a young age. It makes them credible for the future. If you don't already have it, there's no need to cop it for full price...but if you have $5 and it's on sale on Amazon, I say please add it to your collects.

Mista is the bomb diggy,

I bought the album back in 1996 when it first came out and I fell in love with the guys. Their music allowed me to get through so many rough times, because it made me feel like they understood exactly what I was going through. At such young ages they managed to steal my heart and I will always love them for that. If you don't have the album go out and get it, it is truly a wonderful album

I was really young when this group came out like 8 or 9, but I was definitely moved by Blackberry Molasses. They had raw talent, and could've been bigger than what they became. Yes, and Bobby Valentino aka Bobby Wilson is on DTP, and has a song called "Slow Down" just like that nice person down there said. It's sounds good so check it out ya'll. I wish the other ones were with him. You never know. Keep doin ya thang where ever you are Mista. Love ya'll!

Hey to all you Mista fans. Guess what? One of Mista's former members has know signed a deal with Ludacris's own DTP. Yall all know him Mr. Bobby Valentino himself. He has a single out now that is hot and entitled "Slow Down". He's doing big things know you catch him on BET's 106th and Park.

They Should've Been On Top,

During the Days when all Immature had was a Nasaly Lead singer in Marques Houston, singing sub-par lyrics, Mista was a breath of fresh air. I bought this CD when I was 13 & immediately knew that they were special. The lyrics are great & they can actually sing. My favorite songs are "Blackberry Molasses, "What Love is", & "Tears, Lies, & Pain. The rest of the songs are very good. I am 21 now & I am still listening to this CD.Too bad they didn't have a better record label & management to promote them. It's a shame that many pretty non-singers are getting all the air play while the real talent get's pushed aside. Jagged Edge & Tamia are also ultra talented but are not receiving the airplay, awards, & respect that they deserve. Anyone who loves good R&B should definitely buy this classic album.
