Nice bit of Fluff,

This review is from: Mistaken Mistress (Harlequin Historical) (Mass Market Paperback)
There is nothing heavy in this little romance so it is perfect for a quick escape at the beach. It has those fun elements: A handsome Viscount, an outspoken grandmother, a heroine who is the poor relation with an evil aunt and wicked cousin. The writing was smooth and the characters well developed. One bit of outrageous drama didn't really hurt the enjoyment.

Normally I dislike historical romances that follow this formula...innocent virgin captivating a hard-nosed rake. But I have to say in this instance that I enjoyed this book. It is melodramatic with all sorts of clichéd plot devices to get us to our 'happy ever after' ending. But I found Kathryn and Ravensmede to be charming lead characters which makes this book a sweet read. Not a keeper but a pleasant way to while away a couple of hours.
