I was a little annoyed with this book; there's very little in it. I'll have to admit that the information that is there is useful, but there's no depth to this book. It was probably written in an afternoon.
Sure, there are 81 pages, as the details specify. But... 40 of them are blank or just a big number; there are only 41 pages of actual information. And this is a small format book ... and some of the pages don't contain much! Page 55 has 59 words, including the title. Furthermore, the marketing behind this book is misleading; they're using the old direct-mail format of feature and page number. For instance, "The absolute worst thing you can do when trying to increase your FICO credit scores. This one action has the biggest negative impact on your FICO credit scores. Avoid it at all costs! (Page 75)" Page 75 says what? Don't pay your credit card late! Okay, true, but isn't it rather obvious that creating a bad credit history is bad for your credit? Yes, this book provides a number of basic rules that are very important. But I think the author might have put forth a little more effort. This is a magazine article, not a book. Page

Good Reminders - Not Mindblowing!,

I went to Stephen Snyder's Credit After Bankruptcy seminar and learned a boatload of stuff I didn't know about credit and FICO scores. This book is an excellent set of reminders of what NOT to do after being discharged from bankruptcy or if you have credit problems in general. Is it epic? No, not really. But I consider it like having my own "38 commandments of credit" and a worthwhile crib sheet of the do's and don't's.

Great little book and a fantastick follow up book to Credit After Bankruptcy. We puchased Credit After Bankruptcy in April 2004, attended a seminar by Stephen in May. This all started our credit education. Loving those first two experiences by Stephen we purchased Do you Make thes 38 Mistakes in August. My wife and I have made incredible gains in our credit life. In 8 months following the real implementaion of these 38 Mistake rules, we have increase our FICO Scores from all three bureaus an average of 183 points for my wife and 208 points for me. It was my wifes idea to buy Stephens book and I have never doubted her intuition since.
