I tested out this camera for my company and it worked great. The resolution is better than other webcams I've tested and the motion feature was nice to have.

The motion feature is useless for small movements when you're mostly sitting. Otherwise it's average quality camera, not worth its price. I've requested a return authorization.Good resolution doesn't matter, because in order to get good frame rate (25-30fps) in low light condition, you have to significantly reduce exposure and image quality at 640x480 will be worse than you might expect even at 320x240. It's also difficult (inconvenient) to manually turn it for proper positioning. The driver disk require you to register with their online video sharing service before you could change camera settings. Not sure if it true, but this is a weird request, and the online sharing service is nothing fancy or unique. It also installs an unnecessary tray icon that you can manually remove if you know how. (Upd.: I can see the price went down to $20. My review was written when it was much higher).

I'm using this with Blue Iris Software for my home security system. The PTZ tracking feature is my favorite thing about this camera. It's extremely quiet and hard to notice when this thing is tracking you. It sometimes stares and gets stuck on the mess I have in my kitchen sink or sometimes stares directly at a wall and gets stuck there (Can't find anything else to track if it's stuck on a blank wall) Not a very intelligent system but for $30.00 I'm not complaining. To fix this I simply moved the camera to another location and it happens less frequently. I can't seem to get the PTZ feature to work from my iphone, it works directly from my computer though. Doesn't seem to work from the Blue Iris Command Center either, unless I go directly into the camera settings. Kind of a turn off, that's why this is getting 4 stars. One more thing... This is useless in low light conditions. I'm considering getting motion activated lamps connected near this camera to make it work at night, I don't see any other option. Once I do this I will have a motion activated PTZ tracking security camera with text message/photo alerts that I can access from my phone for under $50.00 (price including lighting accessories that I need to buy to make this work at night) Somewhat better than paying $120.00 for an IP camera that won't track. Although my computer does run a bit slow with all of the junk I have connected to the USB ports.
