Mister Rogers is absolutely wonderful! This book is short, to-the-point, and covers a spectrum of topics. All topics are covered in 3-4 pages. His concepts come down to the basic needs of a child, and any parent from any background can use his techniques when upbringing children.

Mister Rogers' valuable expertise in children should be shared with every parent. After reading this, I have decided to give this book as part of my baby-shower gifts to new parents.

THIS BOOK IS A GEM!

While, as a youth, I often panned Mister Rogers, as an adult, I find him inspiring. This book is filled with simple, practical information that can have a profound effect on the way you parent your children and the way you parent yourself.

This is how I want my children to be raised. Mr. Rogers is more than a cultural icon, he's a man who has though long and hard about what it's like to be a little person in a big person's world. What a wonderful theory for guiding a youngster through life. I hope I can live up to Mr. Roger's model of how to behave as a parent and in life.

This book is my favorite parenting book--it has the best advice in clear, simple terms and it's easy to find the information you need. Well worth the money!

My husband and I use this book all the time to get some perspective on issues we are dealing with. It is gently written and simple to understand with some great ideas on what to try in different situations. I've actually had my husband call me up on the phone and ask me to look something up in this book for him. Highly reccommended!!!!!

Unlike other books about parenting and young children that I looked at before I found The Miser Rogers Parenting Book, the infomation presemted in this book is concise enough to read through with ease. Topics are universal to most children and parents, but Mr. Rogers' approach is fresh and unique in my experience. I appreciate very much that the tone of this book is never preachy or suggestive of "shoulds and must nots". Rather, it provides support and creative ideas who are seeking to better understand their small children and to give them the love and guidance they need, while also being consistent role models. This is a wonderful book, and Mr. Rogers was a gem.

As one would expect from Mister Rogers, this book is ideal for parents of toddlers and young children. He explains both in terms of the general psychological philosophy and then in specific ways how to deal with the basic fears and issues of childhood. He provides approaches that are easy and practical, and quickly reassure the child.

This book is written in simple terms. Fred Rogers encourages as much forgiveness and understanding of ourselves as parents as he does of our children. He recognized that it isn't much easier being the parent than it is being the child, and that we can give ourselves credit for loving and caring about our children, even when we later decide to change some aspect of our parenting.
