5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Read from Elsie Lee, March 1, 2007
from the back cover: "Even though she'd married into an established society family, Emily Deming could barely afford the luxury of mourning the loss of her husband Tom. For once she read the will, the young heiress discovered she'd acquired hardly any assets, masses of debts ... and Mount Fair, the monstrously big mansion in isolated Demington, Vermont. Then she moved to the ancestral estate, and Emily realized she'd also inherited a murder mystery ... for the evidence was piling up that Tom had been the victim of foul play."
Elsie Lee is an author that I keep to read over and over.

4.0 out of 5 stars Young Widow wins again!, March 27, 2008
By
This review is from: Mistress of Mount Fair (Paperback)
Elsie Lee is very good at this young widow thing - although almost all of her stuff has met my taste. However, this one, Ivorstone Manor and Satan's Coast are all rather alike and yet enough different to still be a very good read. If you like modern style gothics, this is great. If you don't, too bad!
