I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I read Message From A Mistress earlier in the year and couldn't wait for the follow up to have the question "Who was the dirty dog?" answered. The author showed the growth of Rene,Aria, and Jaime after Jessa's betrayal. They all reached bottom and found their way back through the love and support of friends. Rene was able to deal with her drinking only after she made the decision that she would have to let the love of her life go and that her children deserved to have her whole. Aria had to forgive herself in order to save her marriage to Kingston and Jaime needed to define who she was and not rely on others' perceptions of who she should be. If there was anything that I would have liked the author to delve into a bit more it would have been how Jessa spiraled out of control after the death of her husband. How deep her pain must have been to betray those that were there for her during her grief. Jackson irritated me to no end in MFAM, but I was kinda pulling for him in this book. Hoping that he could find a way put his family back together. The story of Jackson & Rene after the dusts settles is begging to be told. How do they survive another mistress(Jackson's)? Well done Ms. Bryant!

I PRE-ORDERED THIS BOOK BACK IN FEBRUARY AND HAD BEEN WAITING DEPSERATELY FOR IT'S RELEASE SINCE LAST YEAR. I STARTED AND FINISHED THE BOOK YESTERDAY BECAUSE I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. I THOUGHT MESSAGE FROM A MISTRESS WAS GOOD, BUT THIS ONE TOPPED IT. THE EMOTIONS PORTRAYED IN THIS BOOK WERE PHENOMENAL. I LOVED ALL THE TWISTS AND TURNS AND WAS WONDERING WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT AFTER EVERY PAGE. ALTHOUGH, I WOULD HAVE LIKED IT TO BE A LITTLE LONGER AND TO KNOW A BIT MORE ABOUT THE FUTURES OF EACH OF THE CHARACTERS I WAS CERTAINLY NOT DISAPPOINTED. WELL DONE.

This book dragged on as much as the first book. This book takes place over months instead of a day like the first one did and thankfully it lacks the 50 million flashbacks that the first book contained. We learn which husband Jessa was having the affair with about half way through, but it was a husband I didn't really care about so I actually wanted it to be him so the other two couples could work on their marriages. We all knew the wives' secrets were gonna come out eventually so there wasn't much suspense when they finally did. There wasn't any closure at the end. This book left a lot of unanswered questions. I wish there had been an epilogue that told what happened a few months or so after everything that happened at the end. Trying not to include any spoilers but we really didn't learn anything we didn't know in the first book other than which husband Jessa "stole". I don't feel like this book was necessary at all and instead of dragging out the first book so much, the information in this book should have been included in the first one. I do like how Niobia Bryant is one of the few authors who can have different characters in the same book without them all feeling like the same character with a different name, but this book should have been filled with way more drama so that's why I'm giving it 3 stars.

I read "Message from a Mistress" and "Mistress No More" back to back over 2 days. I couldn't wait to find out who the cheating husband was. My guess was wrong. This story was drama filled, funny, had a few "mouth hanging open" moments for me.

I liked Jaime's story the best. I was sort of disappointed in Renee's out of control drinking. I felt it was a bit too much. But I guess that's how alcoholics roll.

It would have been nice to know the characters exact ages. We knew Renee was in her forties, the oldest of the bunch. She and Jackson were college sweethearts so around the same age. But then we find out that Jackson's mother was 55 and I was doing the math. HUH???? I assume Jamie was in her late twenties?? I believe Aria was the youngest of the bunch.

Ok do these women not wear lipstick? And why does lip gloss taste so good because every other sentence they were eating or licking the lip gloss of their lips. And why every time Jessa spoke it was with her "husky" voice? That got irritating after a while.

A "mouth hanging open moment" for me was when Niobia described Renee seeing her son's anus hanging open. I could not believe that. Dang! Did he have as many male lovers as Aria did as a teenager????

Message From a Mistress left us puzzled, piqued, and just plain perturbed with the infamous question..."Whose husband is the lying, cheating dog?" The ladies are back with their lives still in limbo, marriages hanging on by a well-worn thread, and their sanity questionable at the present time. The vindictive vixen, Jessa Bell, has ruined lives and still remains single without a love to come home to. The text message proved to be the motivation that Jaime Hall needed to release her from her husband Eric's sadistic and degrading acts. Aria Livewell's loss of control has caused her marriage to catapult into a tailspin as she terrorizes Kingston with harsh words of accusation and distrust. The `ever perfect' Renee wishes that the text message was all she had to deal with, as she faces the betrayal of Jackson having an affair and bringing additional baggage into their marriage.

Niobia has skillfully filled in the blanks with soul stirring and emotionally spell-binding scenes. She places us in front row seats as we watch the remnants of `pseudo' perfection unravel ferociously. Now that Jaime has discovered her sexuality, will she fall victim to lust or tuck her tail and go home to a humble Eric? While being stunned with the text message not being the worst of Renee's nightmare, can she find the strength to stand or does she succumb to a mind-numbing, crippling crutch? Aria wears this hardcore persona, runs from a sordid past that haunts her, and viciously lashes out at her husband that loves her. Will she relinquish her guard for what's real, or will she lose it all while trying to make everyone pay for her mistakes? Mistress No More proved to be an intensely enchanting read. If I have one complaint, it would be the minimized development of Jessa Bell's storyline.
