A handbook that demands a reprint,

Melissa Sands put together a peerless resource for women who had found themselves in love with married men back in 1978. The number of mistresses extant in the United States has probably not fallen off since then, when the necessity for the publishing of a guide such as this was recognized. What, then, is the book publishing community doing about this heart-rending problem? The reason I have held back a final star that would otherwise give this book a perfect rating is two-fold: one, Melissa believes that readers would like to read lyrics to her songs about being a mistress. This, I feel, is a mistake. Two, I have a used copy of the book with all the answers to the numerous quizzes filled out (having not been a mistress myself, I find the answers to these questions an invaluable resource to getting inside the mind of an adultress-- well, one adultress). The peek inside the head of another was my good fortune, and may be causing me to over-evaluate the usefulness of this book. But at no point is it even implied that Amazon's rating system is in any way objective.
