My physic teacher once said, you know exactly what temperature it is when you have one thermometer. But when there are two, you're never sure. The reason is because more often than not, the thermometers are a bit off from each other. This is not the case with Mr. Misty. I bought two and tested them for a week. The hygrometer and thermometer readings are consistent on both units. However, I did not test the accuracy of the readings.

I bought 3 of these. The temperature readings are consistent with each other and other thermometers in the house. However, the hygrometer readings of all 3 are different among themselves and other brand hygrometers I have used to test their accuracy. The hygrometer on the worst of the 3 was 8 - 10% points higher than the other 2 and other brands.

Don't breathe on this or get it close to moisture or else it'll screw up the readings for about 30 minutes. Also don't use the velcro strap as they don't stick very well, on either end. I tried to put it up on the wall and it fell off after an hour or so. Otherwise works great.
