works but leaks,

This misty mate works good but leaks really bad at the end where it connects to the garden hose. That doesnt really matter outside but I use it inside where I tie strap the misty mate to the front of our shop fan and use it to cool the work area. The connection leaks so bad that it makes a big pool of standing water under it and all around the fan. I ended up using silicone to seal this end and it is water tight now and the mist evaporates in the air so there is no standing water from the system at all. It does cool the air down in front of the fan very well. I have tried one of these before an it leaked the same way so I guess it is in the design. I am probably using it in a different way than it was designed to work so I am giving it 3 good stars. If you are using it outside you shouldnt worry because it wont matter anyway.
