Editorial Reviews

Review

"Arthur John L'Hommedieu sets the record straight about maligned, misunderstood and often endangered species. Choose Bats or Spiders." -- Tulsa World 12/14/97

From the Publisher

The sheer appeal of this unique book is enough to attract even those who cringe at the very mention of the name. The time to attack these fears is before they develop, when children are very young. Although the text of Bats is somewhat instructional for preschoolers, they will love to explore its intricacies. A caring adult will simply want to be there to share and revel in the child's discoveries and guide her to find answers to the inevitable multitude of questions raised in the illustrations.

5.0 out of 5 stars L'Hommedieu's Bats, July 6, 2000
By A Customer
Another fun pop up book has come from Child's Play. If I were a kid I would love this book. 3-D images of all sorts of bats, along with an informative text and brilliant illustration make this book, along with the others in the "Misunderstood" series, a must-have. My nieces and friend's children all love this book. It's also a pleasant surprise to find, on the back, drawing of all of the different species of bats. This book is great for any age, from kids to grown up bat lovers!
