Not A Bad Debut,
By Musicman "musicman85" (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mitchel Musso (Dig) (Audio CD)
If you're 13 or younger, you're familiar with Mitchel Musso as the character Oliver on the Disney TV show Hannah Montana. For people like myself who are a little older, there really is no connection here. His debut CD titled after his name is a good debut. It's a typical Disney CD with pop/rock songs, a ballad, and some electro-pop songs. Think of the CD as a mix between Hannah Montana and Metro Station. Some songs do stand out above the rest:
Us Against The World: A good electro-pop song, and it's also a duet as well. Do It Up: A song written by Max Martin, anything by him is a great song in my opinion. It's a rocker song similiar to Ashley Angel's songs also produced by Max. Welcome to Hollywood: A really good song, very similiar to "Waking Up In Vegas" by Katy Perry. It's like a sequel to this song without really trying. (You Didn't Have To) Walk Away: The only ballad on the album. The chorus sounds a lot like One Republic's "Apologize." The chorus is very repititive, but it still works out for the song. Overall I was cleverly suprised by the album, and I think it's a good debut.

Awesome Debut By A Disney Boy,
By
This review is from: Mitchel Musso (Dig) (Audio CD)
I'm not hugely into the music of all the Disney stars, though even at 35 I find the shows to be entertaining, since there aren't many family sitcoms on anymore.
Mitchel's debut CD is one I can recommend to people of all ages. Its good for the pre-teens because he is who he is, Oliver Orken from Hannah Montana, but he has music in his blood, after all his brother is in Metro Station and the talent has seemed to rub off on his baby brother. The songs Speed Dial, Hey, The In Crowd and Shout It are infectious and fun, but the best part is the lyrics aren't so bubble gum that the parents and any random listener would feel odd listening to them. Definitely an album worth having, by one of the younger set. And now I feel really old.

Debut!,
By Kerstin Lori Johnson "Richie" (Dallas, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mitchel Musso (Dig) (Audio CD)
Mitchel Musso has made an impression on me on Hannah Montana. I remember hearing him sing for the first time on Hannah Montana I thought he was pretty darn good. He has always been one of my favorite Disney stars.
This is his debut album, and a great way to enter the music world too! His songs are catchy and who doesn't like a good pop song? I love every single song on this album and each have a meaning. I catch myself singing these songs to myself or putting the album on repeat. It's just that good. :) I recommend this to Mitchel Musso fans and people who like pop music! Can't wait to hear more of his music! -Kerstin Lori Johnson
