These are the most uplifting books I have read in a long while. I usually do not read books that go to the religious side, but I must say....these are just great. They made me laugh, sigh, cry and just enjoy reading them. They are believable and I want to go to Mitford.

I really enjoyed this series of books myself and finished that last one several years ago (sigh). They are really nice stories with interesting characters and provide a quirky and amusing look at small town life. They also are uplifting and even supporting. If you like to read and are looking for a bit of hope and peace, then I really recommend the Mitford books. Father Tim goes quietly through his life sustained by faith and friendship and Jan Karon manages to share this joy with her readers. Recently I suggested my mother-in-law try them and she loves them. I sent her volumes 4 - 6 in a boxed set. When I visited recently she made it a point to show me the books because she was so pleased with their condition. The seller sent them very quickly and they were in perfect shape.

What can I say but great set! If you love reading the series, you'll love owning this set. The stories surrounding Father Tim have been such enjoyable reading.

Really enjoy reading this series and love having it in my collection. Karen is a good storyteller with the ability to bring you "into" the story and makes every day life interesting. Only wish that the illustrations from "Out to Canaan" had been left out. Very poor. "Emma" looks like an angry hippo with a bad toupee. I liked my imagination better. (Sorry, Mr. Just)

The books were delivered in a timely mannner and in the condition described. I was completely pleased with this seller.
