The goal arrived at my house assembled wrong, then after it was fixed be me, I successfully put it together, which was relativly easy. After several moderately hard training sessions two large holes were in the net. That is on top of the fact that the pins that hold the net together are weak. The weakness in the pins causes the goal to collapse if there is a shot off of the post. Overall, this is probably not a good buy.

Best portable goal for the money, April 27, 2009

I had been looking high and low when I can across this goal and had a wide range to compare it to before I finally purchased it. Honestly I had even purchased a different set first, the "pop up" kind which was horrible and would never properly open, close or hold it shape during a game. After I returned that set, I found these by Mitre and I could not be more satisfied. I run a pick up soccer group which had been growing, our weekly turn out for games had gradually grown from small 4 on 4 and 5 on 5 to as many as 11 on 11. The larger games made my old 3' by 6' goals inadequate. Since the fields did not have full size goals we needed something big enough to suit a full game, but still worked with a smaller turn out and no goalkeeper. The 6' by 8' dimensions made these goals work perfectly! The nets also are quality stuff, my previous goals required the nets to be replaced 2-3 times a year, given I used the goals twice a week, every week. But this new set had endured and plays as good as the day I took them out of the box.
What I feared when buying these in comparison to "pop up" goals was the portability. I wanted something with a firm rigid frame but feared it would not fit well in my Smaller car(Pontiac Vibe). The goals actually fit really well and assembly is far easier than I thought. I takes about 10 minutes to assemble both and put up the nets, which is worth it.
The fast fold design also makes them much more versatile for storage. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good soccer goal, for a fair price.
