This part arrived in a timely basis, was an exact replacement (Osram Bulb) and is working well. Cost was $119 vs $230 from the dealer I purchased the TV from. Even included a free return label to recycle the old bulb which contains mercury.Mitsubishi 915P020010 Lamp for Mitsubishi DLP TV

The order arrived the next day with instructions on how to install it. I was very pleased with the product and the service.

This bulb lasted right at 11 months, and then blew. I believe the problem is mainly with the Mitsubishi model I have, as this is the 4th bulb I've had to replace. The initial warranty that was offered was for 1 year, so it blew right on time. They will send only 1 warranty replacement bulb, and after that you pay the bill. Oh, and the warranty changed from 1yr to 6mths. I sent the recently blown bulb back for replacement and promptly received another bulb after about 4 days, however; they sent the wrong replacement bulb! Go figure. Just sent them an email and asked them to send out the right replacement bulb. I'll let you know how the scenario unfolds in an updated post.

This replacement lamp fits and functions well but is NOT identical to the Mitsubishi original housing. The original housing had a better bail (the cheap wire bail on the replacement pulled off every time I moved it into the "use" position), and the original had captive (not removable) retaining screws with large "thumb" heads. This made installing the original housing in the cramped space much easier. The replacement has small #1 philips retaining screws that were hard to install in that cramped space.

We ordered this cheaper version of the lamp and it did not work at all after installing it. Called Mitsubishi service and a technician called back with several instructions on what to try but we could not get it to work. He diagnosed our problem as needing a new lamp and said the one we got has to be defective. So we have to order the $230 lamp directly from Mitsubishi and wait even longer to get our TV working again. Guess you get what you pay for! Sometimes it's not worth trying to save money. Would not recommend buying this even though others have had success with it.

Bulb works great and seems to be the same quality as the bulb that came with the TV. My only problem is with the terminal this bulb gets seated into. After changing bulbs several times, the terminal mounted inside the TV has snapped out of the housing it was mounted in, making it a much more involved process to change the bulb. Normally, you're supposed to be able to pull off the front panel, remove the old bulb assembly by removing 4 screws, slide out the bulb assembly, and slide the new bulb assembly into the housing. The plug in the upper left hand corner that the bulb plugs into snapped off and fell back inside the TV cabinet. Now when I need to change the bulb, I have to remove the rear panel of the TV (LOTS of screws to remove!) so I can hold the plug while someone slides the bulb in from the front. I'm hoping I can find a replacement terminal so I don't have to go through this process every time I have to replace the bulb (Every 2 years or so).

Still, the quality of this bulb seems to be OEM so I would buy it again.

Our plasma tv quit working, so after a couple of hours of diagnosis, we found that our lamp burned out.

We quickly looked for a replacement and came across this lamp, needless to say it works, and our tv is working in perfect condition again.

We have replaced the lamp in our tv several times (they all lasted for approx 18 months), but this lamp was installed May 20, 2010 and is now kaput Dec 1, 2010. I had no idea that I needed to look for a warranty of 1 year until now. This one only has 90 days, but on the bright side it lasted for 6 months....so that is twice as long as the warranty. You will notice that this sight doesn't tell you how long the warranty is...so do NOT assume that it will last as long as the original lamp. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from this store again. See ya!

I was surprised at the expedient order process. However, 6 months later and the lamp is out already! Was told only a 90 day warranty. Wow! So be ready to replace this every few months from this place.
