I have the 73" Mitsubishi 738 series DLP TV. I could not get this to connect to my Apple Extreme Router. I kept trying to enter my password and it just did not work would not connect. Then I read on the Internet that you should check your TV's firmware. Sure enough...went to Mitsubishi and found that I was at 12.02 and the latest is 12.07 - downloaded the new firmware on to a usb jump drive as per their instructions. Plugged it into my tv and turned it off. Waited the 30 minutes they recommened and then I went back in and tried to connect and WALA! It worked.

So while this product does work great with the newest firmware... it still is a pain to get it updated without an Internet connection, however, now that I am connected through the TV future firmware updates will be easier and can be done through the TV. Rating this 4 stars out of 5 just because of the hiccup in getting it running.

I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to this wi-fi adapter because the prices that these go for are way out of line for a USB wi-fi adapter, and I finally found one. I have a Mitsubishi LT-55154 TV that called for this adapter, but I just purchased the Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter (also called the NETGEAR RangeMax WNDA3100 Dual Band Wireless-N Adapter) that works perfect! Just plug and play...no problems at all.

We bought this for our Mitsubishi TV, it was almost plug and play. I say almost because before I plugged it in I went online to read about what was happening with it to make sure I got it right the first time. Once I plugged it in after some miner preparations it was full steam ahead. WiFi connection is great, I was immediately on VUDU which is the application suite that you get with this product.

If you are considering this, I recommend going to their website first so that you understand what you may need to do to get a connection and what you are getting with this adapter; some people may be confused as to what kind of online media service this adapter will provide.

I can not give this 5 stars because not only did it not work straight out of the package, but Mitsubishi couldn't get it to work either. For this, it only gets 4 stars.

Supposedly the TV needs a firmware update, but I couldn't get the firmware update to work. As soon as I changed my SSID on my router, it started working (this was after a day of messing with everything to get it to work, and was pure luck that I figured it out).

I had spaces in my SSID name, as soon as the spaces in the name were removed, I was able to connect to the TV. After 30 minutes of the TV being off, it downloaded the new firmware like it is suppose to from the Internet (I never got the file on the USB flash drive to download, and was obviously not required to get Internet, since all I had to do was take the spaces out of my SSID name).

It now works flawlessly, but not without trouble in the beginning. This is used on a WD-73738 TV Mitsubishi WD-73738 73-Inch 1080p 3D DLP HDTV.

I bought the wi fi adapter to watch netflix. As it turns out - this POS only supports VUDU and also cannot be used with anything but Mitsubishi product.
1. Don't buy this if you want to view something other than VUDU.
2. Mitsubishi should incorporate wifi into it's tv and not sell this as an accessory.

The only reason I bought this was to stream Netflix, but this only works with a service called Vudu, which offers little to no value.

This is the recommended adapter according to Mitsubishi.
Works very well, just plug it in usb slot, go to network setup menu in tv and login to your network.
After initial login, works every-time.

I bought this adapter to use with my new Mitsubishi 73838 television. The TV is upstairs in a media room and my (a Netgear N) wireless router is downstairs in my office. Despite the distance, the internet adapter works fine. I watched a full HD movie on the Vudu system last night and it was every bit as clear and flawless as a blu ray disc. It is incredible that you can now watch full HD 1080p movies through the internet.

The other Vudu content available with this adapter is Pandora, Facebook, Picasa (you can view your pics on the TV), wikipedia, and a few random shows / channels. The TV content via this adapter isn't outstanding and it would be nice if they added some shows that I had interest in seeing. But, even with the current selection of features, I think this is worth the $69.00 to have the options. Also, this device will help you to update your TV's firmware.

Overall: Recommended!

The reference manual that came with my Mitsubishi TV specified that this is the right product to use. I bought it, plugged it into the USB port, and it works as promised. Evidently it is essential to get the right model for your TV. I saw some reviews that rated this product badly and even said it wouldn't work. My guess is that it was the wrong model for the TV being used. I did discover that it is necessary to sign up and activate VUDU before this will work. Once I got by that, I've had no problems and enjoyed watching "Secretariat" online recently from VUDU. I also can bring up my facebook profile, but it does have more limited functionality than on my PC. I'm enjoying showing some of my photographs I have posted in facebook on my 65" HD screen. I tried to hook up to Netflix, but with no success. I'm assuming that is because Netflix is a competitor to VUDU and my Mitsubishi TV runs on VUDU software. This is all new to me, so I don't know if other brands work on other operating software or not. Perhaps there is a way with other brands to connect to Netflix. Also, I didn't realize that the wireless adapter was not built in to the TV when I bought and didn't like having to spend more money to buy something I think should have been included, particularly when the TV was advertised as being wireless ready.

This product did NOT work as advertised. I plugged the device into the USB port of my Mitsubishi TV and entered the pass code used by
computers in my home and the device failed to connect. I notified
Mitsubishi and Vudu and NEITHER were able to help me at all. It's simply does NOT connect me to the Internet.

If you'll send a return slip, I'll be glad to return it to you. It is basically worthless to me. It's only function is to connect wirelessly and it fails to do that.

Thanks, Larry Jefferson
