It comes with a separate media center--featuring all AV connections--for convenient and uncluttered installation. It also includes a multi-format memory card reader, enabling you to display still photo slideshows and play digital music files (MP3 and WMA). This set can be wall-mounted with optional hardware, but it includes a matching, removable swivel stand.
The LT-3780 has a 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, compatibility with 480i/480p/720p/1080i video sources, 550 cd/m2 (candela per square meter), and a 800:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) It pumps out audio via its integrated 10-watt speaker system (5 watts per two channels), which includes two 2-inch woofers and one 1-inch tweeter. It also offers Mitsubishi's Level Sound Dynamics Limiter features, which evens out the sound of programs--even during loud commercial breaks.
Other convenience features include color temperature controls, full-screen image freeze, two tuner picture-in-picture (PIP), split screen, channel preview (3 and 9 POP), and six 4:3 aspect ratio and two 16:9 aspect ratio picture formats. This set features the following video and audio connections:
The IEEE 1394 (also known as Firewire or i.Link) multimedia connection enables simple, low-cost, high-bandwidth real-time audio, video and data networking between a Mitsubishi TV and other consumer electronics products such as camcorders and DVHS VCRs. With IEEE 1394 compatible products and systems, users can record SD or HD digital video over a plug-and-play A/V network.
HDMI is a lossless, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface to link any audio/video source (such as a set-top box, DVD player, or AV receiver) with your TV--all over a single cable. HDMI supports standard, enhanced or high definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable. It supports all ATSC formats--standard (SDTV), enhanced (EDTV), and high (HDTV).
Digital Cable Ready
You can connect your cable television directly from the wall to this LCD TV without going through a cable box to receive all of your cable channels, including premium channels, and get an even better picture by doing so. The LT-3280 has a slot on the back for a CableCARD, a device that descrambles subscribed channels. With the CableCARD (available from your local cable TV company), the TVÕs internal tuner will tune directly to the subscribed cable channels, eliminating the need for a seperate cable box.
When a digital cable TV channel is received via the CableCARD, it is decoded and remains a digital video signal all the way to the screen. Standard-definition digital channel signals are up-converted by the advanced processing capability in the set (see more about the Plush imaging feature below), giving it an HD-qualty picture. The resulting image has the best possible quality, with maximum bandwidth, and minimal noise and distortion.
Proprietary Mitsubishi Features
This television includes several exclusive Mitsubishi technologies that enhance its picture as well as ease of use.
Also included in the Plush palette of technologies are Dark Detailer (which provides enhanced contrast and black levels that allows a wider palette of dark gray shades) and SharpEdge (which enhances both horizontal and vertical edges for a precise picture).

Mitsubishi 37" LCD shines shines shines,

This review is from: Mitsubishi LT-3780 37-Inch LCD HDTV (Electronics)
I purchased the 37" Mitsubishi LCD HD Television about 4 weeks ago and am stunned at the quality. When viewing HD broadcast via Direct TV the picture is razor sharp with very accurate color. I also bought a SONY Upconverting DVD player which scales the DVD to 1080i and dvd never looked so grand. This television is a true 1080i HD tv, and when television is finally broadcast totally in HD this television will show 1080P as well. A fantastic set that blows away the competition. Oh- this is a 37" tv but is just as satisfying as any 40-42" HDTV, and it's thin because it's a true LCD- and is way better than Plasma, because there is no burn in like plasma- thus no "ghosting" and also plasma gas has a "Half-Life"- meaning that a few years down the road a plasma loses it's brightness, thus loses it's picture quality, whereas the LCD does not!! 10 stars!!! I find no reason at all to purchase software like "Avia" because this tv is factory set very very accurate. I borrowed my friend's AVAI and the set needed absolutley NO adjustments of any kind! Go Mitsubishi!

Buying a used LCD,

This review is from: Mitsubishi LT-3780 37-Inch LCD HDTV (Electronics)
Although the overall performance of this LCD is satisfactory, but not having the original remote has made the operation of the LCD a real challenge. I wish I knew then what I know now. In addition, no explanation of delivery was disclosed. The unit was delivered on a huge box truck and strapped to an enormous wooden pallet which would normally require a forklift to remove had it not been for some creative thought and a very helpful truckdriver.
