Its made to fit that model, and they go together perfectly. The stand arrived to me fully assembled other than the middle shelf has to be put in where you want it, so that was nice. Also, you can't really tell from the picture but the top shelf of the stand, where the tv goes, has a little cut out to slide the tv into so it can't really move side to side or towards the front. Its basically locked into place by the stand, so that's cool

It appears very sturdy and is just the right height. I've only had it for about 2 weeks but I feel pretty good about the purchase

ALOT of other people on here have complained about this model and similar stands being damaged in shipping. I personally had no problems with that, but enough other people have that I believe you should be concerned about it and aware of the possibility if you order this product

On another note, I ordered this stand and the tv at the same time, and the tv got to me a couple days before the stand did. If the stand had arrived damaged and I'd had to send it back, that would have been quite a delay. So maybe you should order the stand first and make sure its fine before you order the tv. Just a suggestion

Received the TV base promptly with no problems noted. Easy to install middle glass shelve. My new 73737 DLP TV fits perfectly. When looking at this stand, it did not say it would fit the 73737 model TV. It only list the 73735 and the 73736 models, so if your going to buy the 73737 TV, this stand will work just fine. JK

I received this tv stand, which is designed for a 73" DLP television, and can only say that I am extremely satisfied with the mitsubishi tv stand and how nicely it matches and fits securely with the TV.

I waited two weeks to receive this stand and I was watching my TV on milk crates. It was definitely worth the wait. The stand is exactly the same width as the TV and the way they designed it was really good. They made it so the base of the TV would slide into the top of the stand and then you also secure the TV to the back with the screws and plate that was provided. The one negative and reasoning for four stars instead of five stars was the back design. The back support is only about 8 inches wide and is not wide enough to hide the wires from multiple devices. I would have made it wider or at least have the back partially closed. Overall I believe this stand is the only way to go for this TV because of the exact matching dimensions and the security of the slide in top for the TV base.

this stand looks ok. it does bow down under the weight of the tv so it wasn't engineered as well as it could have been since it is sold as a "matching stand" for the big mits tv's. my first one arrived broken in several places. after contacting the manufacturer they eventually agreed to send a replacement which took more than a month so i had my new tv on the floor for along time along with my other components. it was quite disapointing. when the replacement did arrive we were very careful to inspect it prior to damaging the packaging and sure enough it too was damaged but not nearly as bad. we deciced to keep it as opposed to waiting another month. the damage is cosmetic and the components hide it from view. the stand functions ok, although i don't like the bow, and the tv fits but it is a cheaply made tv stand and works best in a poorly lit room. i strongly suggest a person shop around a bit befor purchasing this item and should you decide to get this one check it out closely upon arrival.

Item arrived damaged - And 3 days late - Slight crack down the middle on the top (will be covered by the TV) and underneath the top shelf at the ends (looks like where it is screwed into the sides.) However, it fits perfctly with the TV - a MUST stand for the 73735 TV. On another note, I paid $498.79 from Amazon and now it is selling for $350 on Amazon (less than a week later...)

Quality of the base is poor. I wish I had known it was made of wafer wood, or compressed sawdust. Top came off when i lifted it out of the box. Too late to send it back as I needed it to place the new TV on when it arrived the next day. Very heavy for its size.

This TV first arrived broken but after waiting a week for replacement it is a pretty nice TV. The only complaint I have is that it is not as clear as my plasma TV.

When I purchased this product, I was wondering why this was $100 more than a similiar model (which wasn't available anywhere). Much to my surprise, I am very happy with this stand. The construction is excellent and I like the fact it has a little notch to put the tv in which makes it even more secure. I would recommend it.
