This tv does do 1080p you just have to set it up on the tv to be able to use it... my tv is useing 1080p perfectly... also if one of your devise puts out a1080i this tv will upconvert the signal to 1080p for you... so ethere way the quality would be the same no mater what... it is a full 1080p tv...

Pass on this one
This TV is NOT 1080p. It will not work with a blu ray player or PS 3. Trust me I know. Picture quality from broadcast and DVD is fine. DVR is almost impossible to use. Spend your money elsewhere. Mitsubishi dropped the ball on this one and they know it. It is apparent when you call customer relations.

This tv has a GREAT picture and is 1080p despite what the other reviewer says.
I'm not sure what they are or not doing, but we've got our ps3 hooked up to this tv and it has the best High Def picture of any DLP. We watch HDTV, Blu Ray, Netflix, and play games on this tv. We've not had any problems with the bulb either. No Complaints on this one!
