Product Description
Before precision tools are placed in service, and periodically thereafter, they need to be calibrated. Calibration ensures that readings from a measuring tool are within allowable specifications and tolerances to help cut down on costly and time-consuming mistakes. These electronic, waterproof calipers are calibrated by measuring a reference standard, such as a gage block. Zero/ABS allows the easy-to-read LCD display to be zero-set at any point along the slide for incremental comparison measurements, and also allows you to return to absolute (usually the jaws-closed point).
