This unit performs pressure, vacuum and temperature diagnostics and refills cooling systems in minutes. The MV4525 is the most innovative, advanced automotive cooling system ever designed. It's the first and only tester developed specifically to run complete cooling system diagnostics with the engine running at normal operating temperature and pressure. New patent pending technology combines testing and monitoring of pressure, vacuum and temperature simultaneously, to provide real-time data far beyond the capabilities of a simple pressure test. This combination of features ensures the most extensive, accurate cooling system diagnosis possible. Engine "On" Testing - With the engine on, monitor temperature, pressure and vacuum simultaneously to quickly and accurately diagnose a blown head gasket, or cracked or damaged block or head. Also diagnose faulty components such as a thermostat, fan switch/relay, or cooling sensor. When testing is complete, use the built in valve to safely drain off pressure and hot fluid without having to wait for the engine to cool. Engine "Off" testing - With the engine off, apply pressure or vacuum to quickly locate leaks, or use vacuum to refill the entire cooling system in minutes without trapping air. Mityvac MV4525 Coolant System Test, Diagnostic and Refill Kit

I ordered this product from National Tool Warehouse and it arrived quickly. I had a problem with the product though, the proprietary valve Mityvac is so proud of, leaked. This tool is supposed to be used to diagnose leaks in your cooling system and such, so me having to chase down a leak on the tool itself is ridiculous. I then contact National Tool Warehouse and they tell me that I can't have a refund on it until they find out whether or not they are going to get their money back from Mityvac. Excuse me? NTW tells me later that Mityvac wants to send me a new valve, which I find unacceptable, once I have trouble with a brand new item from anyone, I pretty much am done with it. So I get this runaround for 2 weeks from NTW and Mityvac saying they don't want to give me my money back. The sad thing is NTW's return policy states that I can return the item for ANY reason within 30 days, well, I don't want it because it is broken and I want my money back, so tell me what difference it should make to me as the consumer whether or not NTW can get their money back from Mityvac? I'm sorry but that's not my problem, that is a cost of doing business, and the reseller must deal with the vendor after the customer has been taken care of. So finally, NTW finally figures out I am not going to go away and takes the steps to get this done. It took me a further 2 weeks to get my refund which just happened on 6/2/08.
Needless to say I would not deal with National Tool Warehouse or Mityvac ever again.

This product is a grat product for any cooling system on most cars. It was at a great price and everything I thought it would be. It was helpful to me in filling four different cooling system and helped me to find leaks in two of the four systems.
